The Alhambra name comes from the arabic word that means "red castle" because of the colour of the towers.The Alhambra was a fortess, a palace and a small city at the same time. The kings started living there in the XIII century.It converted in a Christian Court in 1492, when the Catholics Kings conquer Granada.
