Minerals Project

Magnetite is one of the magnetic minerals. You could tell from it's name. It is a blackish/ grayish color. It's luster is metallic to dull. People use magnetite to make magnetes. It's streak is black. It's hardness is 5.5-6.5. that means that it barely scraches glass.

Magnetite

Pyrite

Pyrite is a brassy yellow mineral. it's nickname is fool's gold because some people cant tell the difference between it and gold. It has a metallic luster. It has a greenish black. It's hardness is 6- 6.5, that means it sort of scratches glass.

The two minerals have two completely different characteristics. They look cool but come from completely different place.
