Graphing Inequalities

Don't run for the doorand don't talk to the hand.

Graphing Inequalities- remember greater than, less than, and don't forget greater than or equal to, and less than or equal to.

Just follow these simple steps.

1. Draw a Number line with your answer in the middle with three numbers greater and three numbers less than your answer.

3. Now draw the appropriate circle above your answer on the number line. As you read your answer from left to right determine if it is greater than or less than; this will tell you which way to draw your arrow from the circle.

2. Remember and open circle goes with greater than and less than. A shaded circle goes with greater than and equal to and less than and equal to.
