The AT-P^2T is made to help people transport heavy loads or carry supplies, such as water, long distances. It uses the mechanics of the All-terrain wheelchair, to move itself forward. The AT-P^2T pilot can use their own strength to power the rover by using the hand cranks. By doing this they are able to help the rover move using less energy. In addition to the hand cranks, the AT-P^2T has installed motors which can help the person move the AT-P^2T over hills and over rough terrains, when the hand cranks cannot provide enough power.

NASA Spinoff Technologies are products created by someone in partnership with NASA in order to use NASA’s ideas and products to make something helpful and new. This helps NASA be able to incorporate this into future products.
