James Marshall "Jimi" ______________was born on November 27, 1942 and died on September 18th , 1970. He was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is often considered to be the greatest electric guitarist in the history of rock music. He played the guitar in a completely new way. He was known for his exciting performances at the end of which he often destroyed his guitar by hitting it against the ground and setting it on fire. He won many of the most prestigious rock music awards in his lifetime. He died as a result of taking drugs at the age of 27 like Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison.
