Geothermal Energy

How it worksGeothermal energy production works by pumping water deep into the earth. The thermal energy below the surface evaporates the water, turning it into steam and causing it to rise. This steam then spins turbines, converting the kinetic energy into electrical energy. It is then condensed and pumped back underground.

Why use geothermal?Geothermal plants take up very little room relative to other energy production methods, are self sustaining, can run for years, have minimal emissions and are reliable. A geothermal plant will be producing electricity 24/7.

What is geothermal energy?Geothermal energy is the thermal energy of the earth. Geothermal energy plants convert that thermal energy into useable electrical energy.
