BIOGRAPHY Franklin Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park New York as an only child. He grew up to a wealthy family. As a kid he enjoyed many sports, such as polo, golf, lawn tennis, horseback riding and swimming. He attended Harvard University, where he fell in love with Eleanor Roosevelt and had 6 kids with her (sadly one of the boys died as a baby). When Franklin Roosevelt's cousin Theodore Roosevelt became president it inspired him and Theodore became his role model.

Lasting Impact Franklin Roosevelt was a very important person in our country's history. Today he is remembered for leading the United States against axis powers during World War 2. He also is well known today for how he helped set up different deals such as The Social Security Act and The Security and Exchange Commision. Franklin Roosevelt became so famous and important that the world gave him a nickname, FDR.

ACCOMPLISHMENTSFranklin Roosevelt accomplished many things. One of his accomplishments was how he led America through the Great Depression and World War 2. During these harsh times Franklin Roosevelt motivated people and kept them going. Another amazing accomplishment by Franklin Roosevelt was how he became president for more than 2 terms.

Franklin Roosevelt was the 32 President.
