National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding 10th, 11th and 12th graders. It is more than just an honor roll; NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. NHS membership requires a certain GPA, amount of community service and attendance at virtual meetings. In order to apply, students must have attended CAVA for one full semester prior to applying, be in 10th grade or higher and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. A kmail will be sent out by Thursday, September 17th, 2015 outlining the application details.

During the month of September, we will be collecting donations of pre-packaged cookies along with crayons/coloring books at various Community Day sites across the state. At the conclusion of the donation drive we will be having in person events at multiple Ronald McDonald houses to drop off the donations, receive a tour of the house and complete a craft. These events will be held at the end of September. Come join! Additional details will be kmailed out soon!
