Blood water mission was founded by Jars of Clay, a multi- platinum and Grammy award- winning band. The charity funded a late stage HIV/AIDS hospice & discovered the importance between HIV/AIDS & the need for clean water. In 2005 they began the 1000 Wells project as an effort to raise money to provide water & sanitation to 1000 communities in Sub- Sahara Africa. Since then, Blood Water has raised millions of dollars to provide clean water. They have partnered with more than 1,000 communities in Africa, providing life-saving water and health care for over 600,000 people in 13 different countries.

What We Are Currently Doing! Blood Water mission Currently have projects in Central African Republic, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Rwanda. These projects have served 561,180 people. Also, 929 wells has been completed and repaired.

Blood water mission should have the support from you because, not only do we help people recieve clean water, but also we help those with HIV/AIDS. Like most things in the world, this cannot be done alone.

Not having clean water is like not having water at all. They both can lead to servere illness that'll eventually lead to death. Turning the faucet on to fix a glass of water isn't something everyone can do. However, it is something everyone should have the right to do. In most cases, female children have to walk hours & miles to the nearest source of water, that's not even clean. Due to the long hikes everyday, educationl isn't something that these people will have the chance to get.
