Dian Fossey

Goal 1- Her first goal was to go to Africa. Dian loved animals from a very young age. She wanted to go to Africa where there is lots of wildlife. It took her an entire life savings and a 3 year loan to pay for the trip. Goal 2 To gain the gorillas trust. To do this she needed to imitate there sounds and movements.

Steps taken to reach goals. She went to Marin Junior business college. Then left to work on a dude ranch but had to leave that to because she got the chicken pox. But that gave her the idea to join a vet school witch she failed in her 2nd semester. Dian decided that she must go to Africa so she took a three year bank loan and her entire lifes savings and went. When Dian was in Africa she went to the Olduvai Gorge where she met Dr. Leakey he inspired her to work with apes. First however she had to gain the gorillas trust.

Challenges. Dian first went to business school but loved animals so moved to work on a dude ranch. She failed out of vet school in the 2nd semester. Was killed in Rwanda because of what she believed in.
