For Learners:

A fun, imaginative, and powerful learning experience which fosters independent creative self-expression, positive learner-teacher relationships, and teamwork on collaborative class projects.

How do I register for a Glogster EDU account?

Registration is safe, private, and user-friendly. Sign up for the product of your choice on the product information page. After completing the fast and simple registration steps, you will receive an email with your nickname, password, and login link. Please note that emails from Glogster EDU are sometimes redirected to spam.

[Top]

How many student accounts can I register?

A Single Free account is an individual account for a single teacher or student. The student account generator is only available for paid subscribers.

With Teacher Light, teachers can register up to 50 student accounts. All 50 may be added during the initial registration, or accounts can be added later to bring the total number of accounts up to 50. After the initial registration, all changes to registration totals will be managed on your Teacher Dashboard.

Premium License subscribers can register up to 200 student accounts. Premium School License subscribers can register an unlimited number of student accounts. Learn more about EDU Premium.

[Top]

Do students need to have email accounts to register on Glogster EDU?

In order to register for a Single Free account, you must provide and authorize an email address.

With the Teacher Light and Premium platforms, teachers can generate student accounts without providing student email addresses. Teachers generate all registration information and distribute it to their students.

[Top]

Are my students protected from inappropriate content on Glogster EDU?

Yes! Single Free users can create private Glogs only and must know the URL of a Glog to view it.

With Teacher Light and Premium, the registering teacher monitors the content and accessibility of all student Glogs. Once you set up a teacher account, your registered students will only be able to see the Glogs created within your virtual classroom. Additionally, students can only communicate with other students in their class, and only via Glog comments. Students cannot send private messages.

[Top]

Can I use the same account on both Glogster and Glogster EDU?

No. You must register separately on Glogster.com and Glogster EDU using different usernames and email addresses. Only Glogster EDU provides a private, secure and controlled setting for teachers and students, so we keep the platforms separate.

[Top]

Can students have multiple teachers?

Yes! The School Premium License enables you to house and manage multiple teacher accounts together under one administrative umbrella. Students do not need to have multiple accounts for each of their subjects and can easily interact with all the teachers in their virtual school. Learn more about the School Premium License.

With Teacher Light, students must have separate accounts for each teacher, and one teacher cannot access private student content that is created under another teacher’s account.

Where can I find more examples of creative uses of Glogster EDU in the classroom?

The “Educational Resources” section on our homepage is full of links to articles and blogs featuring creative uses of Glogster EDU in the classroom. Click here to view Educational Resources.

We make every effort to continually provide a vast array of creative and instructional resources for teachers. Because most Glogs are private, we are restricted in our access to them and will only publish Glogs that teachers determine are “Public for all.” Only teachers can set this status, and by doing so agree to release the Glog to all public forums. The “Public for all” Glogs can be accessed by all Glogster EDU visitors whether logged in or not.

For more Glogster EDU Resources, refer to the Glogster EDU Resource Library below.

[Top]

What is the Glogster EDU Resource Library?

The Glogster EDU Educator Resource Library is a database of outstanding examples of Glogster lesson plans and rubrics, standards alignment activities, and Glog building media resources. It has been built by and for our community of educators. We hope these resources will inspire other Glogster EDU users to create and share their own Glogster projects. The goal is to develop a library of creative and exciting examples and resources for all to use.

You can present your projects and/or resources via the submission form (see the last section in the Glogster EDU Resource Library for details). Published submissions will be formatted by the Glogster EDU Team as a detailed example for other Glogster EDU educators to draw upon to help guide their work. Thank you very much for your contribution to this effort!

How do I upgrade from Single Free to Teacher Light or Premium?

Visit our product information page, choose your preferred license, click “Subscribe,” and follow the directions to purchase. Please note that a Teacher Premium License offers two payment plans: monthly or yearly. Make sure to select the appropriate payment option before you proceed.

How do I downgrade from Premium to Teacher Light or from Teacher Light
to Single Free?

Simply allow your license to expire. This decision is final; once you choose the 150 students to discard, there is no possibility to add them again.

If you are downgrading from Premium or Teacher Light to Single Free, your student accounts will also convert to Single Free accounts and will no longer be connected to your teacher account. No Glogs will be lost. The Glogs you created will remain attached to your account, and your students’ Glogs will remain attached to their individual accounts. Students must send you their Glog URLs in order for you to view them.

In both cases, all of your administrative preferences will be saved for the moment you choose to upgrade again.
